Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet

Chicago Scenic teamed with Thorton Tomasetti LLC to engineer the interior structures and concrete bases of more than 120 globes for the acclaimed public art project “Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet”. Globes were individually designed by artists from around the world and supported by corporate sponsors. The five-foot in diameter, six-foot tall fiberglass globes were intended to increase public awareness of global warming and to encourage new and innovative solutions to the problem.
