The Shedd Aquarium’s new exhibit, “Amphibians” includes more than 30 different habitats containing 40 species of salamanders, frogs, toads, and caecilians.
An aquarium’s moist environment presents its own challenge for proper material selection and installation methods. Add to that the Shedd’s high-touch, high-occupancy challenge as nearly 2 million guests visit each year.
Chicago Scenic’s team worked closely with graphics suppliers and the Shedd design team to ensure that material choices were appropriate and represented the best option for durability and long-lasting aesthetic appeal. In fabricating the ultra-durable tank bases and creating the specialized scenic elements varying habitats truly came to life. The installation of graphics throughout the three-room exhibit delivered a true partnership with our client.05.2016 back to Museums
