Chicago Blackhawks Parade

With the challenge of unpredictability, preparation and adaptability are key.

Preparing for the 2015 Blackhawks’ citywide celebration was no exception. Not only was there just 48 hours’ notice from the moment the Chicago Blackhawks raised the Stanley Cup in victory until the City of Chicago began its official celebration, but Mother Nature and changing venue logistics presented some additional challenges.

For each of the Chicago Blackhawks’ Stanley Cup Victory celebrations— 2010, 2013 and 2015—Chicago Scenic coordinated the precise and flawless culmination of victory rallies that got better and better.

More than 600 pounds of confetti rained down on celebrating fans at the 2010 victory rally held on North Michigan Avenue. The 2013 event took place in Chicago’s Grant Park, and in 2015 the celebration took place at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Each site required a different set of permits, and presented unique challenges. The mantra was, "clean in and clean out", to avoid business rush hours. After managing staging systems, event rentals and technical direction, Chicago Scenic held its own celebration when the official ones were complete.
