One of Chicago Scenic’s scenic artists began this project with an image of the water park’s turtle logo and ended up with this larger-than-life sculpted attraction now installed at the Chicago-area water park.
In addition to the challenging size of the "Turtle on the Rocks", was the durability requirement since the structure exists year-round in its outdoor environment. The method of mounting the finished piece required working with rocks already in place, and required Chicago Scenic's install expertise.
The finished turtle, 8-feet high and 18-feet long, was built in several pieces to facilitate its successful transportation and installation.
