Science Storms

Chicago Scenic provided engineering services, fabrication and automation software development for the technically challenging Sunlight exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry. This attraction was one of seven major exhibits that comprise the core of Science Storm’s 26,000 sq. ft. experience.

The central exhibit demonstrates sunlight’s scientific properties via visual experiments. The unique challenge was creating the larger-than-life prototype that seamlessly and repeatedly demonstrates the science.

Chicago Scenic’s ETCP-certified rigging experts safely installed the required rigging points. Throughout the huge environment Chicago Scenic also worked with each of the other fabrication firms to successfully install their exhibits in the hall, and our crews were available for ongoing troubleshooting and maintenance.
