Chicago Scenic Studios Names Two Industry Veterans to Expanded Sales Team

Chicago Scenic Studios is expanding its national sales team with the addition of two veteran client service professionals: Renée Mancino and Jim Thornton.

Chicago Scenic is the 40-year innovator of venues and installations that run the gamut – from corporate branding and architectural installations, to retail experiences, museum exhibitions, theatre sets, theme park attractions, broadcast studios, parade floats, pop-ups, and a whole lot more.

“We’re in one of the fastest and most dynamically evolving business environments – with clients razor focused on solutions tailored to where their markets are shifting to,” said Blasko Ristic, president of Chicago Scenic Studios. “Both Jim and Renée are uniquely gifted and bring decades of experience in the vertical business sectors that Chicago Scenic serves – including live events, corporate activations, museums, conferences, exhibitions, and more,” Ristic added.

Jim Thornton has more than two decades experience across a range of senior executive roles – including as chief sales officer for AV Concepts, the virtual, live, and hybrid events and technology solutions provider. Jim also served as senior vice president for business development for the events, exhibitions, and conferences agency FreemanXP.

Renée Mancino is a two-decade veteran with wide experience in the events and outdoor advertising sectors – including serving as director of client engagement for GES, the events, exhibitions, and exhibits powerhouse; and as director of sales and marketing for Chicago Outdoor Media – among other roles.

“Chicago Scenic is like a swiss army knife – we come packing a lot of solutions and we deploy team members who are smart, strategic, and expert at producing showstopping client results,” said Blasko Ristic. “Renée and Jim bring all that and more – which is critical today as clients look to combine live events with virtual; as brand activations are more important than ever; as museums innovate new ways to maximize precious funding; and as curated experiences everywhere combine in-person, technology, and virtual solutions,” Ristic added.

Chicago Scenic serves clients across a broad range – from tech firms and retail chains, to museums of all types, TV broadcast companies, architecture and design firms, cruise ship operators, theme parks, car makers, experiential agencies, municipalities, and more.
