Overview: CSSI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of custom fabrication projects across our portfolio. This work includes: Theme parks, museums, live entertainment, retail activations and more.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management, from initial planning to final delivery
- Develop estimates, project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
- Research, procure, and manage materials, products, and services
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and purchase orders
- Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders.
- Conduct on-site visits to oversee production or installation as needed
- Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, and co-workers
Qualifications / Skills / Requirements
- Project management and leadership experience in a deadline-based environment
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills
- Advanced organizational, multitasking and time management abilities
- Ability to problem solve, and adapt under pressure
- High level understanding of custom fabrication methods (metals, carpentry, plastics, painting / finishing, etc), production processes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
- Knowledge in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Viewer desired.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field (e.g., project management, theater production, design, or business)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, in a related industry
- PMP or similar certification a plus
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
- This is not a remote position
- Work is primarily performed in an office setting with frequent collaboration in production facilities in Chicago.
- Occasional visits to client sites or production venues
- Requires moderate physical activity, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines
Benefits and Compensation
- Salary range based on experience, with a range of $80,000 – $100,000
