Our wide experience includes everything from the design and fabrication of museum exhibits, themed entertainment, interactive experiences, theatrical and finish construction  

Overview: CSSI is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of custom fabrication projects across our portfolio.  This work includes: Theme parks, museums, live entertainment, retail activations and more. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project management, from initial planning to final delivery
  • Develop estimates, project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution
  • Research, procure, and manage materials, products, and services
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including budgets, schedules, and purchase orders
  • Communicate project updates and milestones to stakeholders.
  • Conduct on-site visits to oversee production or installation as needed
  • Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, and co-workers

Qualifications / Skills / Requirements

  • Project management and leadership experience in a deadline-based environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Advanced organizational, multitasking and time management abilities
  • Ability to problem solve, and adapt under pressure
  • High level understanding of custom fabrication methods (metals, carpentry, plastics, painting / finishing, etc), production processes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Viewer desired.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field (e.g., project management, theater production, design, or business)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of project management experience, in a related industry
  • PMP or similar certification a plus

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • This is not a remote position
  • Work is primarily performed in an office setting with frequent collaboration in production facilities in Chicago.
  • Occasional visits to client sites or production venues
  • Requires moderate physical activity, with the ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines

Benefits and Compensation

  • Salary range based on experience, with a range of $80,000 – $100,000
