Logistics Staff

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all safety warnings and guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
• Communicate with Logistics Department Head regarding driver schedules and trucking needs
• Assist in the wrapping, packing and loading of scenery for shipment and for storage
• Organize loading dock at the direction of the Logistics Department Head
• Assist in facility maintenance including shuffling scenery, maintaining waste, and arranging warehouse goods
• Assist in rental maintenance and upkeep
• Assist in material intake for CSSI including cleaning metal and storing materials
• Occasionally attend onsite work calls and installation calls in order to install, strike, or maintain scenery as needed
• Any additional tasks as requested by the Logistics Department Head and Rentals Manager

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of English
• Ability to work independently and as a team

Education/Experience

• Experience operating a forklift a plus
• 2+ years of professional experience in a regional theatre, commercial scene shop, or similar environment preferred
• Valid Driver License
• Experience operating a CNC machine a plus

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform and pass a fit test for a respirator
• Standing for prolonged periods, climbing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing fifty pounds or less
• Sporadic overtime and travel for job related installs, strikes, or necessary tasks
• Some work on weekends and evening hours, as necessary
• Vigorous activity as needed for loading and shuffling scenary or servicing equipment
