Rentals Assistant
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety warnings and guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
- Pull steel deck, handrails, and other components for each rental contract
- Accurately count all assembly pieces to complete order accurately and efficiently
- Ability to come early or stay late to help fulfill orders.
- Attend onsite work calls and installation calls in order to supervise rental install
- Learn the rentals software and check out rental items correctly
- Ensure trucks are loaded safely
- Help with other shop tasks when time allows
- Assist in rental maintenance and upkeep
- Ability to prioritize multiple jobs
- Any additional tasks as requested by the Rentals Manager
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of English
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to problem solve in thoughtful and effective ways
Education/Experience
- Experience operating a forklift a plus
- 2+ years of professional experience in a regional theatre, commercial scene shop, or similar environment preferred
- Valid Driver License
- Experience operating a CNC machine a plus
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform and pass a fit test for a respirator
- Standing for prolonged periods, climbing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing fifty pounds or less
- Sporadic overtime and travel for job related installs, strikes, or necessary tasks
- Some work on weekends and evening hours, as necessary
- Vigorous activity as needed for loading and shuffling scenary or servicing equipment
