Production Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational awareness of the status of all jobs with a focus on production needs
  • Assist production employees with how and where to record their time
  • Monitor weekly production labor review to ensure all production employee time is entered into the management software correctly
  • Maintain awareness of current production labor breakdown and assist with distribution of labor
  • Maintain weekly staff sign-in sheets
  • Assist with hiring production employees on a part time and full-time basis. Assist with organizing resume submissions and other necessary recruiting needs
  • Assist with onboarding new hires 
  • Take meeting minutes during the weekly Stand-Up Meeting
  • Assist production staff with documentation of ongoing processes in the shop including daily logs, project specific documentation, or QAQC documentation 
  • Coordinate equipment updates between Job Leads and IT Department
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Production and Director of Operations

Qualifications

  • Familiar with MS Office Suite, Procore, Excel, and other software databases preferred
  • Experience and understanding of several different areas of production including but not limited to carpentry, metals, logistics, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills

Education/Experience

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a regional theatre, commercial scene shop, or similar environment preferred
  • Candidates with a bachelor’s degree or occupational training preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting with periods of walking and at will standing/walking
  • Some overtime dependent on company specific needs
