CNC Operator

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety warnings and guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
  • Operate tools, machines, and equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities for different projects simultaneously
  • Responsible for choosing appropriate bits, feeds, and speeds for pathing
  • Inspect materials before and after being cut on CNC for imperfections and damage     
  • Taking stock of bits and materials
  • Interpret setup sheets
  • Assist with CNC specific maintenance and upkeep
  • Complete shop specific fabrication tasks such as but not limited to building shop carts, table management, and inventory upkeep
  • Ability to work as a team member
  • Report to area supervisor and jobs leads on different projects

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of English
  • Familiar in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
  • Attention to detail while being aware of surroundings
  • Strong communication and organization skills in a fast-moving environment

Education/Experience

  • 1-5 years programming and operating 3 axis CNC machinery 
  • Multicam experience preferred
  • Experience with industry specific materials such as MDF, Acrylic, UL Plywood, Baltic Birch Plywood, HDPE, Laminate, etc.
  • Knowledge of Enroute and Inventor preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform and pass a fit test for a respirator
  • Standing for prolonged periods, climbing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing fifty pounds or less
  • Sporadic overtime as needed, including some weekend shifts
