CNC Operator
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety warnings and guidelines and maintain a safe working environment
- Operate tools, machines, and equipment safely
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
- Ability to handle multiple priorities for different projects simultaneously
- Responsible for choosing appropriate bits, feeds, and speeds for pathing
- Inspect materials before and after being cut on CNC for imperfections and damage
- Taking stock of bits and materials
- Interpret setup sheets
- Assist with CNC specific maintenance and upkeep
- Complete shop specific fabrication tasks such as but not limited to building shop carts, table management, and inventory upkeep
- Ability to work as a team member
- Report to area supervisor and jobs leads on different projects
Qualifications
- Good knowledge of English
- Familiar in MS Office Suite
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches
- Attention to detail while being aware of surroundings
- Strong communication and organization skills in a fast-moving environment
Education/Experience
- 1-5 years programming and operating 3 axis CNC machinery
- Multicam experience preferred
- Experience with industry specific materials such as MDF, Acrylic, UL Plywood, Baltic Birch Plywood, HDPE, Laminate, etc.
- Knowledge of Enroute and Inventor preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform and pass a fit test for a respirator
- Standing for prolonged periods, climbing, pulling, and lifting objects weighing fifty pounds or less
- Sporadic overtime as needed, including some weekend shifts
