Account Executive

Account Executive position open for established, premier Chicago-based scenic solutions provider. Ideal candidate responsibilities for this high energy position include:

  • Managing and growing existing firm client relationships
  • Managing expectations of client needs from initial contact through successful completion of project to anticipation of next client need
  • Successfully managing internal project management needs
  • Ability to strategize with clients and prospects to provide consultative solutions
  • Preparing proposals with Business Development, Director of Marketing and Project Directors that exceed client needs and win business
  • Attending trade shows as necessary to develop relationships, win business and become seen as market leader through speaking and panel participation

Our successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Ability to sell successfully in several markets including experiential agencies, production agencies and promotional firms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • 5+ years experience in successfully promoting concepts
  • Ability to manage long-term relationships resulting in revenues for firm
  • Consultative selling capabilities to solve client needs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, advertising, hospitality or related field
  • Understanding and competence with design and construction capabilities helpful but not essential
  • High level of competence in Microsoft Office and ACT CRM program
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to sell concepts visually and through narrative
  • Strong client management abilities interfacing with account management and CEO relationships
  • Comfort interacting with internal and external client constituencies
  • Ability to work as part of a team while completing tasks independently and with minimal supervision

This position will report to the Business Development Director of the firm

This position is based in Chicago

This is a salaried position with bonus paid on successful attainment of sales and profitability goals
