Winter Wonderfest

The design and creation of Winter Wonderfest in 2000 helped make Chicago’s Navy Pier – already one of the state’s most visited tourist attractions – one of the City’s favorite holiday traditions as well. The fest began as a discussion about how to attract visitors to Navy Pier during winter. Nearly 20 years later, it continues to attract record-breaking crowds and is a generous revenue generator for the Pier.

The event’s vision turned 180,000 sq. ft. of convention hall space with "no personality" into an exciting holiday play land.  The month-long event delights holiday visitors with elaborate and festive decorations and non-stop entertainment for all ages. Decorated trees, thousands of lights, family-centered attractions from ice skating to an indoor slide, and even Santa greets visitors at this enchanted indoor entertainment venue.

Since the attraction’s inception, Chicago Scenic’s contribution has included master planning, project management, procurement of themed elements and attractions and refurbishment of existing elements.
