NBC Tower Studio & “Studio 5”

Chicago Scenic Studios updated Chicago’s NBC 5 two news sets to better conform to the requirements of high definition format. The NBC Tower studio was revamped to give it a more modern look. Changes included a new top for the anchor desk with recessed openings for monitors and keyboards, and “modesty” panels that extend from each side of the desk, an important addition now that the audience gets a wider view of the studio. A new center light box with the NBC’s logo adds to the studio’s refreshed look.
