The annual breakfast is a Burnett tradition and Chicago Scenic has helped keep it an event that employees look forward to each year. With a new theme every year, CSSI has built some unique sets for Leo Burnett, from take offs on popular television programs, “The Brady Bunch” and “American Idol”, to a tree with a 120-foot canopy and three-foot-diameter apples.
In 2007, the show’s theme was based on the YouTube phenomenon. The stage at the Auditorium Theatre was transformed into a typical Burnett desktop, complete with elements created by Chicago Scenic, including a huge computer screen, mouse and keyboard. The set also featured Leo Burnett icons – a big red apple and oversized black pencils. Other noteworthy desktop items from the Burnett Breakfast included an iPod and a PDA phone that housed monitors with live feed from the show.
