 Chicago
Scenic has been involved with the national and touring productions
of The Radio City Christmas Spectacular since the show opened
in Chicago in 1997.
Because
of Chicago Scenic's central location, high-quality production,
and construction capabilities, it has been contracted to work
on the many productions of this show both for touring and
single-venue productions in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles,
Branson, and Cincinnati. The scenic contracts vary for each
production, and the numerous items are constantly being improved
upon.
 Set
elements include motor-driven synthetic ice decks, painted
and dimensional backdrops, portals, scrims, oversized rolling
Christmas packages, decorative prosceniums, and various special
effects.
 Chicago
Scenic also provides touch-up and repair work as needed each
year, sending painters and technicians to the various venues
or performing these services at its Chicago plant where it
also stores the touring production. Providing full-service
production capabilities, Chicago Scenic strives to maintain
the untarnished image of this holiday tradition.
