Leo
Burnett "Gets Real" During Annual Breakfast
For
nearly twenty years Chicago Scenic has been helping Leo Burnett
produce their much anticipated annual employee breakfast, and this
year was no exception. The theme for this year, “Get Real”,
was inspired by the reality TV program American Idol. CSSI Designer
Tom Ryan and Senior Project Manager Gary Heitz collaborated with
Producer David Moore to stage this fabulous event.
CSSI provided scenic elements for the event to help recreate the
popular reality television series. The set was comprised of a custom
oval screen surround, a tiered talent stage, a judges’ stage
and two MiPix LED walls. Heitz worked with Creative Technologies
to obtain the MiPix, which were combined to make a very large, low-resolution
wall that simulated the look of Idol and was used as the main piece
of scenery. The creative forces at Leo Burnett created images on
the wall which were displayed throughout the event. Lighting Designer
Patrick Chan helped bring all of the elements together.
The team at Leo Burnett also incorporated live acts to bring the
“Get Real” theme to life, including singing contestants
and look alike judges. The surprise reveal of these judges was part
of making this a fun and exciting event. Video Director Randy Young
and Stage Manager Melinda Degucz coordinated the show and CSSI’s
Tim Steimle served as the Job Lead.
