Light-A-Light Expands to New Venues
For the past several years Chicago Scenic has provided a special tally board for the Ronald McDonald’s Children’s Charities annual holiday fundraising drive. This special fundraiser originated at the Rock n’ Roll McDonalds in Chicago and expanded this year to Chicagoland malls.

CSSI was charged with modifying the first tally board/donation box for the Southlake Mall, and building and installing three additional units at Westfield Corporation’s Fox Valley, Hawthorn, and Old Orchard malls. Project Manager Ross Hamilton worked with Molly Brown and Janie Goldberg-Dicks of Margie Korshak & Associates to bring the McDonald’s Light-A-Light Share-A-Night programming to the new locations.

Each tally board/donation box is eight-feet-high by eight-feet-wide and shaped like a Ronald McDonald’s Charity House icon with a donation box attached at the base. To encourage visitors to donate, red dots were added to the face of the house in the shape of a heart as the donations brought the drive closer to the goal.

Job Lead Luis Salces supervised the construction and installation of the tally board/donation boxes and Amy Holsman painted the panels in the CSSI shop.
