Chicago’s
Picasso does double-duty for baseball openers
The
famous Picasso sculpture in Chicago’s Daley Plaza refused to
take sides this year as the city’s two baseball teams opened
their seasons. The split-personality hat is one of many hats
that CSSI has designed, constructed, and installed on the Picasso.
Chicago Scenic also worked directly for the Cubs to provide
a protective cover for the statue honoring Ernie Banks and
the poly silk blue cloth covering that was pulled off to reveal
the statue at the team’s 2008 home opener.
