In the summer of 2000, Chicago Scenic celebrated over 20 years in the business by unveiling a new company logo. The new logo, designed by Lisa Klein of Pisa Design in conjunction with CSSI designers, is based on Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man and symbolizes CSSI’s fusion of Old World craftsmanship with the benefits of today’s technology.

The new logo marked the beginning of an effort to create an entirely new and updated look for the company. Since then, we have further developed our website, created new marketing materials, and are currently finding even more new and exciting ways to showcase our work. Jeff Small of smallecommunications.com developed chicagoscenic.com, so visitors can now view current and past issues of our newsletter, press releases, reviews and articles about our work, as well as a digital version of our stunning new marketing kit.

What used to be a simple folder with sliding inserts is now a slick and colorful bound brochure with tabs that distinguish our business areas and project profiles. Our business areas (Corporate Presentations, Exhibits/Museums, Special Events/Promotions, TV/Film, Theater/Live Events, and Themed Entertainment/Environments) are presented on bright blue heavy-coated stock and incorporate the new logo. Behind each tab is a client list and several project profiles with more detailed information for each business area. The new kit also contains of a glossy three-fold self-mailer that provides a condensed version of Chicago Scenic’s services.

Ligia Popescu coordinated the project, Amy Small of smallecommunications.com developed the copy, Lisa Klein was the graphic designer, and Printing Arts Chicago provided printing services.
