Playmobil Spaces Out at Toy Fair 2000
Playmobil's 2000 Toy Fair booth was truly out of this world. Using its new outer space toy line as the booth's theme, Playmobil's Mary Conti and scenic artist Margaret Boritz redesigned the booth for this year's show. The booth went from being square to round, with three attached pods that were used for conference areas and storage.

Every area of the booth reflected the outer space theme. The lightbox walls from past years were turned into two-sided starfields, and large versions of Playmobil's spaceship and astronaut toys were hung above the booth. The planet theme was also used to display Playmobil's other lines. Half-globes were decorated with the various lines to look like the Western planet or the dollhouse planet, for example. The globes were then automated to rotate on platforms. CSSI provided new construction and show services to Playmobil again this year.

Project Manager John Beckman was on site to ensure that everything went smoothly from installation to dismantle and to make sure it was a successful show for Playmobil.
