City of Hope
changes gears
When
City of Hope held a buffet this year instead of their annual formal
dinner in conjunction with the Hardware Show, Chicago Scenic, working
with Creative Entertainment, had to come up with a new way to decor
the ballroom. Staff Designer Tom Ryan created clusters of internally
lit Shoji Towers. He completed the look by placing them in front
of lighted gold chiffon drapes. The drapes, sewn by Debbie Miller,
are now in CSSI's rental inventory. Bud Sweet led the job through
installation.
City of Hope reused the towers for a show in North Carolina, and
at the same time held a fundraiser at Navy Pier using CSSI's rental
skyline set as a backdrop. Russell Pharr led both of these projects
through installation. Project Manager Gary Heitz coordinated all
three projects with Diane Goldberg and Gabrielle Abrams of Creative
Entertainment.
