U.S.O.C. Hall of Fame awards take center stage

As Chicago continues to work toward being named the host city of the 2016 Olympics, it hosted the recent U.S. Olympic Committee Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Harris Theater of Music and Dance.

Working with Scenic Designer Mary Margaret Bartley of M and M Production Design and producer Intersport, CSSI built the awards show set which included many soaring, lit columns flanking an Olympic-sized custom screen surround. Chicago Scenic also built a pair of height-adjustable lecterns from which U.S. Olympic greats including Karch Kiraly, Brian Boitano and the 1996 women’s gymnastics team were honored.

Takeda Pharm. does double-take of CSSI

Two separate Takeda Pharmaceuticals events were on Chicago Scenic’s project list this year. Working for production company Kindle Communications, CSSI built and installed the elaborate set for Takeda’s largest sales group meeting. In California, CSSI provided support for two Kindle Communications-produced, Takeda-sponsored charity events where sales meeting attendees packed large CARE packages for American soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
