50'
Rear Projection Screen Provided to Avid Group
CSSI
helped Avid Group create an event for Andersen Consulting in Miami
this summer. It was part meeting, part retreat and part celebration
for Andersen's newly named Associate Partners.
Angie Weber
designed the set that included a curved stage with run-off wings.
Palm trees filled out the space and added to the show's Cuban theme.
Mike Dalton's lighting also added to the Latin flavor with his use
of tropical yellows and pinks.
Chicago Scenic
provided a 50-foot-wide rear projection surface that used a revolutionary
new technique: all of the projected images were digitally based.
Because the screen was so large, three individual digital graphics,
each projected from a separate computer, were merged together on
the screen to form one cohesive moving image.
CSSI Works
on Three City of Hope Events
This
fall, CSSI worked with Creative Entertainment on three City of Hope
events. The first was a banquet at the Sheraton Hotel for the Hardware
Show. CSSI collaborated with Ronsley Special Events to create the
staging, backdrops and floral arrangements. Tom Ryan was the designer
for this event.
CSSI's rental
skyline set was used once again this year for the event held at
Navy Pier for the construction industry.
The third event
was for the office products industry which featured the Shoji towers
from last year's Hardware Show and reconfigured screen surrounds
from this year's Hardware event.
Project Manager
Gary Heitz worked with Gabriel Jacobson, Katie Husted and Leigh
Hamilton of Creative Entertainment, and Kathleen Birkett and Nancy
Doyle of City of Hope.
CSSI Designs
and Builds Sets for Multi-Venue Event
CSSI
worked with Media Projects' David Tekler on the 11th Annual World
Conference on Tobacco or Health. The event involved two ballrooms
at the Chicago Hilton and Towers where CSSI designed and built a
multipurpose stage and backdrops to accommodate a variety of meetings,
breakout sessions and awards ceremonies. With assistance from SGA
Production Staging CSSI also provided arena-style seating in the
Grand Ballroom at the Palmer House.
Project Manager Gary Heitz, in addition to providing all of the
scenic and display elements, worked with Media Projects to coordinate
all of the labor and technical aspects for the multi-venue event.
CSSI's Tom Ryan was the designer and Mark Goeke led the job.
