Quick Turnaround
Required for ABC Network's Election Night Set
CSSI
was chosen once again to build the ABC Network's election night
set for the 2000 presidential election. Working under a very tight
schedule, CSSI built and shipped the set to the Good Morning America
studio in New York City in less than two weeks. Each of the five
news anchors had his or her own desk, which had a speckled black
and gray paint treatment and stained cherry trim. The desks were
built so that they could be easily broken apart and rolled away
to allow Good Morning America to go live on the set the next morning.
Project Manager Rick Boultinghouse worked with ABC's George Allison,
the set's designer, and Ivan Sobolov, ABC's production services
manager.
