Leo Burnett living large at its latest annual meeting based on the YouTube phenomenon
Chicago Scenic has designed and built ad agency Leo Burnett’s annual breakfast meeting for more than 20 years. Every year the show takes on a new theme, which means that CSSI has built some pretty unique sets: from take offs on “The Brady Bunch” to “American Idol,” to a tree with a 120-foot canopy and three-foot-diameter apples, it’s always something new and interesting.

This year the show’s theme is based on the YouTube phenomenon. The stage at the Auditorium Theatre was transformed into a typical Burnett desktop, complete with a huge computer screen, mouse, keyboard and Leo Burnett company icons: an apple and oversized black pencils.

CSSI’s design manager Tom Ryan designed the set while Gary Heitz, senior project manager, managed the entire production.

Honda takes newly redesigned 2008 Accords for a spin using CSSI’s new automation system
Working for producer Martin Brinkerhoff & Associates and Technical Director Tom Mendenhall, Chicago Scenic gave the Honda dealers a different perspective on Honda’s new automotive models.

Chicago Scenic’s powerful new automation system, CSI Control, provided the audience with its dynamic first look at the updated Honda Accord coupe and sedan. CSI Control’s dependability and repeatability, and its superior hydraulic positioning control brought the Accord to new heights.

CSSI’s crew used one of its high-capacity 18-foot turntables and two hydraulic lifts to provide a 360-degree view of the car. The lifts elevated the car three feet above the turntable, and as it rotated, each end of the car was lifted alternately to allow a clear view of the entire vehicle.

CSI Control’s simple touch screen control can run up to 100 mechanical systems, from turntables to winches, hydraulic to pneumatic systems, A/V equipment, lighting and other special effects.
