Many of Chicago’s Bus Shelters Going Green
All over the city, Chicago Scenic’s handiwork has become a visible and useful part of Chicago’s landscape. Beginning in 2004, CSSI assembled over 1,300 bus shelters and prepped them for installation all over the city. Working for JC Decaux, CSSI has completed 2,014 shelters to date.

Now, the latest phase in this ongoing project involved assembling 100 new shelters with three solar panels on their roofs. These panels charge the batteries for the shelters’ new LED lighting, saving energy and eliminating the cost of electricity.
