BioGlobe Grabs the World’s Attention at the 2007 Biotechnology Convention
Working for client Freeman Exhibits, Chicago Scenic brought the “world” to the 2007 Bio International Biotechnology Convention this year, with the construction of a 26-foot diameter globe and its pedestal, the centerpiece of the world’s largest gathering of biotech leaders, public officials and companies to date.

Chicago Scenic worked with Thorton Tomasetti LLC to engineer the 26-foot-diameter globe and then built the globe’s aluminum frame and the steel-reinforced high-impact acrylic continents. When the globe was complete, it was shipped to Boston and installed by Freeman Exhibits on Bio2007’s show floor.

The show’s organizers said that the globe was the show’s top meeting spot and a point of reference for all attendees, and at almost three stories high it was a true centerpiece. Inside the globe was an interactive video exhibit that highlighted biotechnology developments on every continent.

American Association of Museums Wrap-Up
Chicago Scenic was pleased to welcome the American Association of Museums attendees to the annual AAM meeting in Chicago this spring. Through our exhibit at the meeting’s MuseumExpo, hosting the First-Time Attendee Reception, sponsoring many events at prominent museums and conducting tours of our shop, we had many opportunities to meet with people in the museum industry and showcase our museum projects and company capabilities.

Our Expo booth was a creative display of what Chicago Scenic can offer to the industry. Our goal was to show that our experience in legitimate theater, television, and corporate business environments transfers easily into the world of museums, and can expand that industry’s current vision. From traditional, functional museum exhibits to presentations that explode with excitement and interactivity, Chicago Scenic can do it all and provide solutions that work for you.
