Rhythm and Boom Rocks Wisconsin
Chicago Scenic Studios partnered with event production company Ravenswood Event Services to provide the impressive stage for the Rhythm and Booms Festival, the largest fireworks production east of the Mississippi. The event, held in Madison, Wisconsin over the July 4th weekend featured world class fireworks and over 250 musicians.
The festival utilized a 60’ by 44’ section of Chicago Scenic’s extensive Steeldeck™ platforming and stage system to support the Madison Symphony Orchestra, chorus and special guest star Sandi Patty. The deck proved to be easy to install and dismantle. CSSI’s extensive rental inventory includes 15,000 square feet of stages and platforms to meet a variety of customer needs.
CSSI Crafts Huge Helmet for NFL
Chicago Scenic’s impressive legacy of large-scale public events continues with the NFL Opening Kickoff 2005 pre-game event. The second annual Kickoff, hosted by the New England Patriots, was a spectacular one-hour event showcasing all-star entertainment. CSSI fabricated a larger-than-life replica of the Patriot’s football helmet (standing 20’ by 20’ by 27’) that included an automation system for a quick-time reveal of featured performer, Ozzy Osbourne. The helmet later served as a dramatic tunnel through which the players burst onto the field.
White Cherry Productions’ executive producers Ricky Kirschner and Glenn Weiss, and production managers Rob Paine and Tony Hauser teamed with designer Rene Lagler to bring the job to Chicago Scenic. They knew CSSI was braced for this challenge, having fabricated a gigantic Vince Lombardi trophy for last year’s event.
