CSSI Expands Project Management Staff
In an effort to provide exceptional client services, Chicago Scenic has expanded its project
management staff over the past year by hiring three project managers. Project management
responsibilities include understanding client needs, estimating project costs, defining
materials and construction practices, supervising project installation, and managing all
aspects of project development from concept to completion.

Nate Combs

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre: Design/Technology from the University of Northern Colorado, Nate Combs moved to Chicago to pursue work as a scenic designer and technical director.

Nate worked as the assistant technical director at Northlight Theatre before becoming the technical director at the Noble Fool and Looking Glass Theatre companies.

Since joining Chicago Scenic, Nate has worked on a series of installations for architect
Ammar Eloueini and assisted senior project manager Gary Heitz on the new Oprah Winfrey
television set and the Chicago’s White Sox World Series celebration.

Katy Kelsey
Katy Kelsey accepted the position at CSSI coming from Carnegie Mellon University, where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Production Technology and
Management.

Katy’s previous experience includes stage crew exposure at the Santa Fe Opera and technical theatre internships at the Yale School of Drama and the Guthrie Theatre.

Since arriving at CSSI, Katy has contributed to a number of jobs including the project
management of Marriott’s musical, Forum, as well as assisting senior project manager
Ken Zommer on several events for Toyota. Katy also assists in managing the rentals
department.

Brian Stockmaster
Brian Stockmaster, the newest addition to Chicago Scenic, arrived via New York City where he worked as a project manager at Showman Fabricators, specializing in broadcast and architectural work.

Brian received his undergraduate degree in Theatre from the University of Evansville and his Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Technology from the University of Wisconsin.

Since his arrival, Brian has worked on a number of projects including Compuware’s annual conference and press events at the Detroit and Chicago Auto Shows for Dodge and Jeep Wrangler.
