Ortho Urology Holds Executive Business Meeting
Chicago Scenic was pleased to provide quick turn around service for the Ortho Urology National Sales meeting, designed by Paul Depass and Tom Stoner, transforming the Chicago Sheraton hotel ballroom into a vibrant, colorful environment for the event.

Having only three weeks to complete this project proved to be a favorable venture for CSSI Project Manager Rick Boultinghouse. The greatest challenge was coordinating the production of 350 graphics between two different suppliers in a short period of time. Chicago Scenic Studios created a circular “wall of fame” around the meeting by using 300 running ft of 20-ft-high Encore Velour hung with 300 portraits of the meeting's attendees. Steeldeck staging and rental flats covered with over 2,600 sq-ft. of digitally printed graphics added to the stage look. Kabuki drops with digiprint banners hung on overhead trusses, and were used to reveal key moments throughout the event.

“This event really tapped into our versatile rentals department including Steeldeck, drape, kabuki drops, deck facing and carpeting”, states Boultinghouse.

CSSI worked with Depass Studios, Technical Director Mark Anson and Devlin Hair Productions to create the attractive set. CSSI job leads were Mike Zaremba and Dave Duwell.

Chicago Scenic Creates Custom Glass Block Wall for Kraft
CSSI created a free standing 10-foot-tall by 40-foot-wide glass block wall for a Kraft sales meeting held at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas this past winter. Each block of the wall was individually decorated by an audience member as a motivational tool to bring the group together at the end of the meeting.

Senior Project Manager Ross Hamilton worked with event producer Paul Sander and Robyn Wetzel of In Focus Events to successfully deliver the high quality product.

To create the wall, Chicago Scenic’s Dave Kaina built a steel and wood support frame around the glass blocks to allow the wall to stand alone. On-site, job lead Wayne Adams assembled the wall, adding extra touches of lighting and applied graphics which marked the meeting’s purpose.

Chicago Scenic Studios then relocated the wall to Kraft’s headquarters in Northfield, IL.
