Naomi Buck,
Receptionist
Naomi
Buck is the pleasant voice you hear on the other end of the phone
when calling CSSI. As receptionist, Naomi is also in charge of sorting
mail, processing purchase orders, and other miscellaneous administrative
tasks. Before taking on this job full-time, she worked as a freelance
carpenter at CSSI.
Naomi grew up in Kentucky and attended Oberlin College in Ohio.
After college she spent two years in Mississippi where she worked
as assistant production manager at the Bologna Performing Arts Center
at Delta State University. She's currently a member of Running with
Scissors theater company and enjoys traveling and spending time
outdoors.
Robert
Kovach, Designer/Detailer
Robert
joined the CSSI design team as a designer/detailer in 2000. His
main tasks include designing clear, complete, and accurate working
plans, elevations, and detail drawings that meet the client's requirements.
He also manages the design process and/or construction drafting
to complete projects within budgets and schedules.
Robert recently wrapped up designing the Kohl/McCormick Story Bus
entitled The Three Bears (see page two for details). He also was
the lead detailer and drafter on the 2004 Democratic National Convention.
He graduated with an MFA in scenic design from Purdue University
in 2000.
Gabe
Segoviano, Design Engineer
As
a design engineer, Gabe is responsible for drafting construction
documents and developing scenic details.
His previous projects at CSSI include the Stargate photo wall, and
the Clear Blue globe, and he is currently working on the Overture
Center and Stratmore Concert Hall riser systems.
Gabe holds an A.A.S. degree from Robert Morris College in computer-aided
drafting and design. Before joining Chicago Scenic, he worked for
such organizations as GES Exposition Services, Ready Metal as a
POP fabricator, and Dwyer Products as a sheet metal cabinet fabricator.
Gabe is also continuing to develop his computer graphic skills at
night school with assistance from Chicago Scenic's continuing education
program.
