Illinois Lottery crowns millionaire in style
Chicago Scenic recently partnered with the Illinois Lottery and ABC7 Chicago to conceptualize and build the set for the unique Million Dollar Summer Finale television event that awarded one lucky person $1 million. CSSI Director of Creative Development Jeff Bartle designed the set that moved 16 contestants through an exciting game where each left with no less than $50,000.
Among the challenges in creating this set was the requirement that it must take place in a small studio in front of a live audience, which meant that only one relatively small but extremely efficient set could be built. The main focus points of the set are the Illinois Lottery brand, the brightly illuminated, colored and fully interactive game board, and the contestants’ area.
As the show progressed, each area was focused on in varying degrees. In the game’s first segment, each contestant selected one of the board’s 16 spots, each of which held a prize between $50,000 and $250,000. Contestants then decided to stay with their prize revealed on the board or to play on to compete for the grand prize. Those who continued on, had their numbered balls placed in an official Illinois Lottery machine and the one chosen at random was the big winner!
CSSI brings the bling to NFL kickoff
The Indianapolis Colts entered the field in grand style at their 2007 season opener when they ran through a spectacularly shiny oversized Super Bowl ring. Chicago Scenic built the ring and then transported it to the RCA Dome in Indianapolis.
