Chicago Scenic is proud to be a part of Clean Air Counts, a regional initiative to reduce ozone-causing emissions, thereby improving air quality and further enabling local economic development. The collaborative partnership of the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, U.S. Environmental Protection agency, City of Chicago and Illinois EPA created a powerful ad campaign showing the improvements local business and industry had made to ensure a cleaner city. We were among the companies featured in the city-wide campaign, which included the billboard shown below.
The LEED (Local Economic and Employment Development) Council, a member of Clean Air Counts and a long-time partner with Chicago Scenic Studios, brought us into the project, and we were more than willing to do our part to clean up Chicago's air. Our contribution was as simple as using more water-based paints that are more environmentally friendly. This positive change reduced air pollution by an impressive 616 pounds.
