CSSI Supersizes National Takeda Sales Meetings
Chicago Scenic has been working with TKG and Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America since it began holding its national sales meetings in ballrooms. Now the same meetings have been expanded to arenas with an audience of over 3,000, and Chicago Scenic is still right there making it happen.

Executive Producer Michelle Faulkner and Producer Pam Kalish of TKG gave Chicago Scenic the mission: build a huge, computer-automated set and then load it into the Anaheim Convention Center in less than three days.

Since different sessions had different audience size requirements, the set, designed by James Joy, was to be adaptable through a set of light box panels on automated circular wagons. The wagons could rotate to reveal an onstage orchestra, open to accommodate additional people onstage, or close down to accommodate smaller sessions, making the stage smaller and more intimate.

This truly was a high-tech set incorporating several layers of automation, including a circular drape reveal.

Chicago Scenic also provided the huge stage and backlit rear wall made up of twin wall plexiglas panels backed with bleached muslin.

Sleek Set Shows Off Motorola's New Razr Phones
Working with global creative agency MICE International, CSSI was able to provide a set that reflects the sleek new style of Motorola's Razr phone.

The simple white space enclosed the participants for the initial presentation and then opened up to allow full access to the surrounding exhibit floor. This was accomplished through the use of two long wall sections on traveler tracks that were drawn away at the end of the presentation to allow the audience to enter the exhibit hidden behind. Another wall (pictured at right), was a huge floor-to-ceiling projection screen.
