Ornaments Shine on State Street

Chicago's Loop Alliance wanted to spruce up their holiday décor in a big way – in an 18-inch-diameter ornaments kind of way – so Chicago Scenic got in touch with its long time vendor, Janis Plastics in Antioch, IL for assistance.

The result was 150 vac-u-formed ornaments, finished with translucent metallic gold and silver paint that shimmer and shine both day and night. Chicago Scenic made aluminum hangers to finish off the ornament hook for each ornament so they hang sturdily from light poles that line State Street. The decorations were on display through the holiday season, bringing cheer to the thousands of shoppers, tourists and employees who visit State Street during the holiday season.

Winter WonderFest Popular Holiday Attraction

Chicago Scenic was pleased once again to help transform Navy Pier's 150,000 sq. ft. Festival Hall into a magical holiday celebration for Chicago's popular Winter WonderFest.

The month-long event features holiday decorations, entertainment and carnival rides and is a joint project of The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, Chicago Scenic and Ravenswood Event Services.

Chicago Scenic originally developed the event's master design plan more than ten years ago and continues to manage the project and procure new themed elements and attractions while refurbishing existing elements each year.
