Bob oversees and guides all aspects of Chicago
Scenic, including
project design, specifications, client relations and marketing.
He is responsible for the ongoing duty of “getting the job
done” through supervision of project planning and development
of the production units.
Bob has been active in construction management and design
his entire career. His hands-on experience and working
knowledge of the industry have guided the company since its
incorporation over 29 years ago.
Bob has been directly involved with major commercial and
business theatre events, ranging from “Hair” and Off-Broadway
productions to corporate productions for McDonald’s, Kraft
and General Motors. His lighting and scenic designs have
been recognized with numerous nominations and awards.
His television experience is broad-based; designing, building,
lighting and production management of many television series
and shows for network, local and cable distribution. ABC
Sports and Network News, Buena Vista, The Oprah Winfrey Show,
Sports Channel, WFLD Fox 32 News, BET and WMAQ News Chicago
are a few such shows Bob has worked.
Construction management and labor relations are the strongest
assets that he brings to a project along with 30 years of
industry experience. He acted as the construction manager
for the 1996
Democratic National Convention and senior producer
for the 1994
World Cup USA Opening Ceremonies here in Chicago.
He has also served as the executive producer for Chicago’s
nationally broadcast annual Christmas parade.
His theme park and permanent installation experience has
grown along with the industry, servicing Six Flags, Disney
World and Universal Studios Hollywood, Disney Quest Chicago,
Chicago’s Navy Pier (Illinois’s #1 tourist destination) along
with a host of smaller parks.
