As Project Coordinator at Chicago
Scenic, Alyce works on a wide variety of client jobs, lending her expertise in organization and scheduling to each project.
Alyce joined Chicago Scenic as a freelance project manager working on "Garden in a City", helping to facilitate the City's first home and garden show focused on urban horticulture. When that project was complete, Alyce assumed responsibility for coordinating and creating Winter Wonderfest, Navy Pier's popular annual indoor holiday extravaganza, a project which she continues to manage as it changes and evolves every year.
When Chicago Scenic became the project manager for the outdoor art installation, "Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet" Alyce managed the logistics for that project by contacting more than 100 artists, tracking pick-ups, deliveries, installation and ongoing maintenance for the various Cool Globes in locations throughout the City and, ultimately, through private owner installations.
Alyce keeps large scale projects on track with her tireless organization of details and processes. She has also expanded her responsibilities into assisting and leading on projects as varied as coordinating parade floats and special events to assisting in large scale museum exhibits and auto show projects.
Prior to joining Chicago Scenic, Alyce worked for another Chicago scene shop where she oversaw set fabrication and dressing for movies and commercials, created and managed budgets, and coordinated subcontractors. Alyce earned her B.A. degree in general liberal arts from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
